Légszáraz és homogenizált talajból bemérés, a dikromát és a kénsav hozzáadása után 24 óra ülepítés majd a tiszta fázis fotometrálása 590 nm-en.

Egy másik szabvány ugyanezt a módszert hulladékra írja le: MSZ 08-0210-77.
