Innovation, main features
Brief concise description explaining the innovation

A multispecies microbial assay with genetically diverse test organisms inculuding prokaryotes and a eukaryote.
User-friendly simple protocol conducted in 96 well microtitre plate and data analysis performed with a dedicated software. Test generates unique toxicity fingerprint.

Typical (recommended) application of the method

Suitable for testing chemicals and both aquatic and terrestrial environmental samples. Applications to date include testing of wastwaters, receiving waters, soils, effluents, sediments, and leachates.
