Description of the waste generating technology

A bőrgyári szennyvíziszap a bőrgyártás szennyvizeinek kezelése során keletkezik. A bőripar gyártási folyamatait négy fő kategóriába lehet sorolni : állati bőr és nyersbőr tárolás, meszes műhelyi műveletek, cserzőműhelyi műveletek, cserzéstkövető és befejező műveletek. A szennyvíz-kibocsátás fő forrásai a meszes műhelyi, a cserző műhelyi és a cserzés utáni nedves műveletek.

Any special characteristics of the waste or by-product

Suspected harmful effects

Cr tartalma jelenthet potenciális veszélyt az emberre. A Cr (III) toxikus, különösen vízi környezetben. A Cr (III) természetben előforduló formái alacsony toxicitásúak, mivel nem korrozívak és rosszul hatolnak át a membránokon, a Cr (VI) azonban igen mérgező, mivel erősen oxidál, és könnyen áthatol a membránokon (1).

A bőripari szennyvíziszap talajra alkalmazása során ellenőrizni kell az iszappal kezelt talajon termesztett növények által akkumulált fémkoncentrációt, mivel a fémkoncentráció túllépheti a határértéket. A szennyvíziszap szerves anyagokból (fehérjék, zsír) és a folyamatban felhasznált vegyszerekből áll. Ezért talajra használat előtt javasolt a kémiai, biológiai kezelése.
