Description of the waste generating technology

A csepeli ivóvíztisztító műben keletkezik az ivóvíz vas- és mangántalanítása során. A kezelőüzemben ózonnal oxidálják a nyersvízben az oldott vasat és mangánt, majd homokszűrővel nyerik ki a kezelt vízből. A szűrőről a csapadékot mosással távolítják el, az öblítővíz szárazanyag-tartalma ekkor 1% alatti. Derítő
berendezésben sűrítik az iszapot. Itt először Ca(OH)2-t adagolnak a csapadékhoz, majd utána préselik. Szárazanyag-tartalma 35-40%.

A csapadékok besűrítése különbözik a kezelőüzemekben. Például Ráckevén egyszerű ülepítéssel történik nyitott földmedencékben, szárazanyag-tartalma a szárítás körülményeitől és időtartamától függően változó, maximum 30%. Csepelen derítő
berendezésben sűrítik az iszapot. Itt először Ca(OH)2-t adagolnak a csapadékhoz, majd utána préselik. Szárazanyag-tartalma 35-40%.

Az ivóvíztisztítási csapadékokkal elsősorban a trágyázással a talajra került többlet foszfát visszatartására folytak kísérletek (Dayton és Basta 2005).
Kadmium növényi fémfelvételének csökkentésére McLaughlin et al. (1998) alkalmazták sikeresen, míg Brown et al. (2005) különböző eredetű csapadékokkal különböző eredményeket kapott, de a legjobb esetben 60%-os fém mobilitás csökkenést tapasztaltak a kezelések hatására.

Feigl és munkatársai (2011) vizsgálták a ivóvíztisztítási csapadék fémtartamát és azt az eredményt kapták, hogy az As, Ba, Cd, Cu, Co, Mo, Ni és
a Se is meghaladja a földtani közegre megadott B szennyezettségi határértéket (6/2009. KvVM-EüM-FVM rendelet), az As a talajra kihelyzhető szennyvíziszapra megadott határértékeket is (50/2001 Korm. rendelet). Ugyanakkor ezek a fémek nem mobilis formában vannak jelen: a desztillált vizes kivonatban egyedül kis mennyiségű As (0,0160 mg/kg) és Cr (0,0969 mg/kg) mérhető.

Fémmel szennyezett talajoknál stabilizálószerként alkalmazható, mivel a még teljesen el nem oxidált vas-mangán vegyületek (hidroxidok, oxihidroxidok) a fémeket erősen magukhoz kötik, lecsökkentve ezzel mobilitásukat [4][5].
