A borseprőt nagy arányban továbbhasznosítják. Lepárlásával nyerik a seprőpálinkát, az egyes esetekben az alkoholt kidesztillálják belőle, vagy a borkősav-tartalmát nyerik ki. Biogáz termelésre is használják.
Körülbelül a termelődő mennyiség 20%-a nem hasznosul.
