Jelenleg a szőlővenyige hasznosítása csekély. Kis mértékben darálás után bedolgozzák a talajba, de ekkor plusz nitrogén trágyázás szükséges a lebontásához. Összegyűjtve lehetőség lenne energetikai hasznosításra (égetés), ez azonban nem valósul meg. Leggyakrabban a venyigét az ültetvény szélén eltüzelik.
